Waterproof And Breathable!

This 1200 denier heavyweight turnout is just what you need for the more harsh winter climates. It features waterproof and breathable 1200 denier outer shell with 210 nylong lining, and 200 grams of Polyfil for warmth. It has wither fleece, shoulder gussets for freedom of movement, adjustable neck for a perfect fit, hood rings to attach a hood/neck cover, low cross surcingles, double buckle front with quick clips, full coverage tail flap, and adjustable leg straps that help keep the blanket down and in place.

My $200 plus blankets kept ripping or leaking or rubbing my geldings chest from riding too low. I snapped this up for $50 and thought I would try it out. My pony measured 64 but I ordered the 63 not wanting it to be too big in the next size up and I’m glad I did. It fits like a glove. The adjustable neck is so great and it fits his higher narrow neck without drooping! The day it arrived, a spring ice storm arrived too. I got it on him just in time. The storm was so bad (pouring rain hovering just at freezing temps) that the ice was covering everything. Snapping full trees in half. Took out power to the whole county. Damage so bad it looks like a tornado came through in the aftermath. It was a downpour for 24 hours and my horses got so scared in the barn from a tree crashing down right next to it while they were inside that they refused to go back in. It was like straight up apocalypse weather. Hugo stood out in that for 12 plus hours and he was as dry as a bone afterward! My other blankets had all started to leak and I was scrambling to keep my terrified horses dry without being able to bring them inside due to their terror. But this blanket? No leaks whatsoever even when it was soaked on the outside and then froze like a popsicle in this crazy weather. Highly recommend this great steal of a comfy, waterproof blanket!

Great blanket super value for price! I bought two and both are sturdy well made. The 75” fit true to size on my horses. They have thick necks and I would have liked the adjustment strap to be longer on the chest snaps. They are colors are fun. The weight of the blanket is perfect for the spring rains and mud in the Pacific Northwest .

Measuring For a Horse Blanket

Have your horse stand still (if possible!) on flat, level ground.

Measure from the center of your horse's chest around the shoulder at the widest part, to the center of the tail. This measurement is easiest to obtain with a soft fabric measuring tape.

This measurement - in inches - is your blanket size.
