These are excellent, sturdy halters at a great price and the nameplate is an added bonus! They are a little stiff so I would recommend using a fuzzy on the noseband at least until they've worn in a bit but that's a minor issue. This isn't the first time I've purchased these halters and if we add to our herd it won't be the last.

I love this halter .. well constructed and the name plate looks great..My only complaint is that they run small.. The horse size does not fit my Gypsy horses... The cob size is even smaller.. Im going to try the extra large one to see if it will fit ..

I originally made a typo when placing the order for the nameplate, and I emailed their customer service and they got back to me right away to confirm the correction! The leather is soft and supple and feels super high quality. It arrived within a few days, and I was blown away with how beautiful it came out. Fits my 16h mare perfectly, and she hasn’t gotten any rubs even when sweating in this summer heat. This was my first experience with chicks saddlery and definitely not my last!

This halter is so worth the money! I bought one for my horse 12 years ago and had it repaired once after he pulled back when tied and snapped the brass ring. I loved it enough to have it repaired. When he pulled back again recently and the leather snapped, I figured - after 12 years - it wasn't wasteful to just buy a new one! I will say it runs a bit big, at least on his once-stallion but little guy head. So I had to punch a couple more holes in the crown piece and the nose band, but now it fits fine (with a little extra leather left over). Very attractive on him.
