An everyday combo from the Derby House Collection, in new, fresh colors for this season. Waterproof and breathable, 600 denier, ripstop outer fabric with taped teams, 200 gram polyfill. Shaped neck with storm flap and double touch tape fastenings. Double buckle front with quick clip chest fastenings. Shoulder gusset, Low, adjustable cross surcingles. Extra long, gusseted tail flap, Elasticated, adjustable and removable leg straps. Silver colored buckles and fastenings.

This blanket was such a pleasant surprise! I didn’t expect much for the price, but it’s well made, warm and waterproof! My horse is like Dennis the Menace when it comes to blankets, so I’ll see how it holds up, but great so far!

I bought two of these for my 3 horses. I have one mare who's a real wooly booger in the winter, so I didn't think she needed one. My other mare, who I found shivering, I put one of these on her. I've never blanketed any of my horses in the nearly 20 years I've had them. But this mare is older now and displaying aberrant behavior as she was shivering, so I covered her up. She loved it. She wore it 2 days straight. My horses are turned out 24/7 with access to shelters and this blanket didn't even shift. I took it off her, brushed her out and she's been good ever since. The only odd thing was, my gelding didn't recognize her at first with the blanket on. It was so funny, but understandable. She's a flashy paint suddenly covered in blue. He trotted around whinnying for about 2 hours looking for her when she was standing right there. I highly recommend these blankets.

This is a light weight blanket and I love it for that purpose. My trainer introduce me to these and I've actually learned to love them. While you certainly can use them as a standalone blanket, I use them in inclement weather as an underlayer. I absolutely love that the neck is continuous from the back as I feel this helps keep the horses' warmer when our temperatures drop below what our standard blankets can help with. Also, if I need to wash a blanket in the winter, this gives them some protection.

Measuring For a Horse
Blanket
Have your horse stand still (if possible!) on flat, level ground.
Measure from the center of your horse's chest
around the shoulder at the widest part, to the center of the tail. This measurement is easiest to obtain with a soft fabric measuring
tape.
This measurement - in inches - is your blanket size.
