A tried-and-true brand, Cashel makes a durable product. This item runs large, so consider that when purchasing. Overall, pleased, I just wish somebody could figure out how to keep the eye mesh truly away from the horse's eye. And no, the lycra bug-eye design by another company doesn't work very well, either.

I bought this for my Draft Cross - -he is a big guy with very full fluffy forelock hair. He is 15.2 hands high and about 1550 pounds. I bought the "warmblood" size because that was the biggest they had - -and it fits him very good. The eye darts stay pointed out like they should and it fits around his face nice. I was going to submit a couple of pictures with it on him, but I don't see a way to do that...sorry. I will say this though, even though horses can see through this -their eyesight is distorted. He gets spooked a lot more wearing this. Maybe the eye darts are right in his viewing spot - -making it more difficult to see through. I am ordering one of these for our Quarter Horse too. I returned a HORZE brand this week - -waiting for my replacement.

They may be a little more pricey but these are the only masks that last over time and fit just right. I always try cheaper masks to Save money ( even cutting my own forelock holes) but at the end of every season I am only left with the cashels.

Our Veterinary recommended Crusader for our horse because of the sun blocking properties. Our horse had eye cancer. The guardsman keeps its form for one or two seasons of use.
